Recently I’ve been overwhelmed with a side project of mine: determining the crime rate on a city by city basis. I realized there was a much more systematic way to go about doing this project. Break it down by state. So that’s what I’ve done. I present to you my take on home security Illinois. Currently the state ranks number 7 in the nation for robberies and 27th for burglaries. I found that interesting as it is currently the 5th highest populated state. And while I am the first to admit that I don’t understand the subtle differences between certain acts of crime (like the major difference between burglary and robbery), I know that certain crimes can be avoided by the presence of a security system. Taking away all the violent crimes and other forms of law-breaking that a security system can help avert, a home system can greatly reduce the risk of break-ins. I don’t know about the people that live there, but to me, Illinois home security would be a topic of utmost importance. Granted, I enjoy feeling safe in my bed and I’m sure that ranking changes drastically depending on the area of the state, but investing in a home security kit would be the first thing I did if I moved to Illinois.

Residents of Illinois should know that they key to stopping crime and making the community safer is to work together with the Illinois State Crime Stoppers Association.
